Fall is in SEASON!

This week was good. It was so good. We spent a large chunk of our time finding and ran into some interesting contacts and tracts. I love people. I love people so much. Everyone is so unique and individual. It is always interesting to see who we meet and what they are about!

It also began to get chilly this week. I had to whip out the tights and pea coat... Uh oh. It was so weird to be back in the costs and jackets I came out in... It doesn't feel real. Seasons are so bizarre and foreign to me! But what is more weird is that summer is over. Fall is absolutely stunning though. The trees are gorgeous here! Winter is around the corner... Crazy how fast time flies!

On Tuesday we had blitz! I was with the lovely sister Taylor again and we did some damage in and around town! This blitz was so much more laid back and not stressful. I didn't worry about it coming up to it and it proved to work out in our favor. No stress, no worries! Everything turned out fine. :) while we were tracting I accidentally opened someone's house door (it happens more often than you would think) and we saw some of the favorites, Sonia & Patsy and Billy! We had an incredibly powerful lesson with Cora about the restoration and the spirit was strong. We were all in tears by the end of it! The church is true and the book is blue! Blitz ended at the George's home with a wonderful dinner and gospel discussion. They are so wonderful!

Wednesday was the highlight of my week. Two powerful testimony events happened. 1. Billy watched President Monson's priesthood session conference talk and LOVED IT! At the end of the talk (which is amazing by the way) he said "a few days ago you asked me if I believed he was a prophet and I said I did, but now I KNOW he is a prophet." Oh my goodness. You have no idea the feeling you get when the person you have been working with for months gains a testimony like that. I could not stop smiling and there were most definitely tears of joy running down my face! It was a moment I will never forget!

2.Sister Schultz and I went out finding. We knocked on a door and the man looks through the door after we rang the doorbell, smiles at us, disappears for a minute and then opens the door. He started with "I'm not interested." We engaged in a conversation of why and he wouldn't give any real reasons and then we asked him who he knew who could use a message about Jesus Christ. He then responded "I can't recommend the Book of Mormon to anyone." I jumped right in and asked "why, it is all about Jesus Christ!" Again, he had no real answer except "I just don't believe..." And so I began to ask him some questions. "Do you believe God is the same yesterday, today and forever?"

"Yes." He responded.

"Ok, then do you believe God had prophets in the Old Testament like Moses and Abraham?"

"Yes." He answered again.

"Do you believe we could have a prophet on the earth today?"

"No. No."

"So if God is the same, yesterday, today and forever, why would he not give us a prophet now?"

I had solid eye contact with this man the entire time and it was at this point he was completely confounded. He literally had no words to say to us. He had no rebuke, no comments, no nothing. All he could say was "have a nice day," and closed the door on us after we bore powerful testimony. I could clearly and distinctly feel the spirit testify of the truth spoken and I know he felt it too. It was testimony strengthening!

We were able to teach the miracle people who fed us dinner a few weeks back, Tommy and Lee. Lee was reading her copy of the Book of Mormon when we showed up and had really good questions! They were both extremely receptive of the message and accepted to be baptized! The whole time Lee kept asking "how do we know? How do we know?" And we kept telling her "you have to pray! You can't take our word for it!" And honestly that is the only answer! We must pray to receive answers! We can't expect an answer without asking! (Matthew 7:7-8)

We received a lot of blessings this week through referrals and prepared people!

As we were headed to district meeting a guy hollered at us and said "y'all got an extra copy of that Book of Mormon?" Sister Schultz and I looked at each other and thought "what the Heck? No one ever asks us that!" We met chuck and he was interested! He had had a copy before but lost it in a fire! We were able to engage in conversation with him and he is a really solid potential investigator!

The branch had their annual chili cook Off! Guess who were the judges? Lucky sisters! Heck yes! :) I love chili! We have an a awesome branch who love their chili as well! A few of our members brought friends and they were sincerely interested! We made three solid contacts at the chili cook off and our investigators attended! Blessings! :)

On our way home for the night, just last night, we stopped a guy getting some music out of his car. He had never heard of the Book of Mormon or the church at all! We engaged in a discussion when his wife and kids came out. Sister Schultz ended up talking to him and I talked to the wife. They were both really open and receptive. They are completely prepared too! They have been through some trials and know that God is at the center of everything. We were able to set up a return appointment as well! These are our goldens and we are praying for them! Please remember the Franklin family in your prayers! They are going to get baptized!

Today I finished the Book of Mormon again and it was the greatest blessing! I know that this is a true book and it comes directly from God! The main thing I got out of this time around was simply stated in 1 nephi chapt 2:

20 And inasmuch as ye shall keep my commandments, ye shall prosper, and shall be led to a land of promise; yea, even a land which I have prepared for you; yea, a land which is choice above all other lands.

And concluded with Moroni 10:

32 Yea, come unto Christ, and be perfected in him, and deny yourselves of all ungodliness; and if ye shall deny yourselves of all ungodliness, and love God with all your might, mind and strength, then is his grace sufficient for you, that by his grace ye may be perfect in Christ; and if by the grace of God ye are perfect in Christ, ye can in nowise deny the power of God.

I know that as we need the counsel found in the Book of Mormon, we will be blessed!

This work is so rewarding. After the trial of your faith comes the miracle. We have been finding and finding and finding new people to teach and we are starting to see the rewards! Finding can be hard sometimes, no one truly wants to go tracting all day (as much as I do love it, teaching the gospel is so much more fun!), but it is so worth it when you find the prepared and elect people to teach! I love this work deeply! The church is true, the book is blue! I know it with all my heart!

This week was kinda slow, but I learned so much. It was a cleaning week. We went though all of our investigators and really evaluated their progression and commitment to the gospel. That left us with a few chosen children of God to work with! I am so grateful to still have some people to work with. There are people prepared and ready to accept the gospel here in Somerset. They are here, we have to find them!

Sister Schultz and I had an eye opening lesson with Billy this week! He told us he finally believes in the spirit world! After almost 4 months of teaching him, God gave him a direct-in-his-face-he-can't-deny-it answer! He has struggled believing in the spirit world. He didn't believe God would give people a second chance or call them back from hell. He previously believed that when you die, you go immediately to hell or heaven. He was reading Revelation 20:12-13, which states: "12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. 13 And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and
hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works." It was as he read this scripture that the spirit world finally clicked. "How can hell deliver up their dead if there isn't a spirit world?" He told us. "And it also said that every man will be judged." He finally allowed it all to click, he finally allowed God to show him! :) We will all die physically. We will go to the spirit world and we will wait their until we are resurrected. Once we are resurrected, we will ALL stand before the great white throne of judgement, not just the horrible people, but everyone, and be assigned a kingdom of glory. God loves all of his children so much that even the worst people on this earth will still receive some glory, even in the telestial kingdom. How merciful is he?  Billy was also caught up on the great white throne of judgement, and now it all makes sense. It all fits. He is going to get baptized!

The scripture in 2 nephi 28: 30 ("For behold, thus saith the Lord God: I will give unto the children of men line upon line, precept upon precept, here a little and there a little; and blessed are those who hearken unto my precepts, and lend an ear unto my counsel, for they shall learn wisdom; for unto him that receiveth I will give more; and from them that shall say, We have enough, from them shall be taken away even that which they have.") is true. Line upon line God gives us what we need, as we are ready to receive it! And Alma 37: 6 is true too! "...behold I say unto you, that by small and simple things are great things brought to pass; and small means in many instances doth confound the wise." By the small and simple scripture in revelation, Billy was able to see the truth! God is good! Miracles are amazing!

We had the privilege to drive to Lexington for Zone conference on Thursday! It was a double zone conference with the Lexington north zone. We had tiwi installed in our cars. The man giving the presentation, brother Edwards, tried to make it sound so appealing and awesome but it is just not. Haha, so what tiwi is is a tracking system. It tracks seatbelts, speed and aggressive driving and then talks to you when you violate its set guidelines. It really isn't bad at all, except the logging in and logging out every single time you drive. That will be a hard habit to get into. So far, there haven't been bad at all!

We were trained by president brough and the zone leaders. We learned how to more effectively work with members to teach their friends and family. Members are so key. When members invite their friends to listen to the gospel message, they are fulfilling their baptismal covenant! When we are baptized we promise to stand as a witness of God at all times and in all things and in all places! We need to constantly be thinking about who we can share the gospel with! Not only to fulfill our covenant, but when we do invite our friends, they have an instant friend and connection at church and in the gospel. That makes everything so much easier! The investigators don't feel like they are being forced into friendships and the friendships usually last a lot longer then until they are baptized! I invite you
to please please please, pray about someone you know who is being prepared to receive the gospel and share their name with the missionaries! This is God's work and glory, "to bring to pass the immortality and eternal life of man!" (Moses 1:39). Man doesn't exclude anyone! This is a missionary church! Our work isn't done until the gospel is preached to every nation, kindred and tongue! We have the whole truth. We know we have the whole truth. There is nothing we need to back down on because this is the one and only true church of Jesus Christ on the earth.  (D&C 1:30, Alma 38:12) Share that! Every single person on earth is a child of our loving Heavenly Father and they chose to come to earth. They all need to return back to the Father and the truth of the matter is, if they are not baptized by someone holding the priesthood authority of God, they won't! Don't let any of our brothers and sisters slip through the cracks. Now is the
time. We are in the latter days. The Lord is hastening his work, doesn't that mean we should all have a sense of urgency? It is simple. Open your mouth, share what you know! Stay true to the covenants you made at baptism! I know this will bring many blessings into your lives, even bountiful blessings! I have seen it in my own life! I know God is there and I know he is real. I know He is deeply involved in the work of saving souls and He is preparing people everywhere!

Saturday and Sunday we saw miracles! We did a lot of finding and were able to help some people rake leaves. It still makes me laugh when we offer service in skirts and the people look at us like we are nuts. I can do anything in a skirt, ok? We ended up taking leaves for an hour and then making it to the area where we wanted to tract. We walked all day and it was wonderful! It is getting chilly! At the end of the night I had to go to the bathroom so bad but we were out tracting. I swear, every single door we knocked on was not home or they looked out the door at us and didn't answer. I was getting desperate. Finally, a sweet woman let us in, I was able to use the bathroom, and she ended up having her darter give us a ride home! It was awesome! We are going back over to her house this coming week too! On Sunday, it was just a blessed day. We woke up to frost on our windshield.... Uh oh! Winter is around the corner! (I don't know how I truly feel about seasons yet...) We had church and taught the Sunday school lesson with an hours notice. It went well. There was an investigator in the class who
said "I don't believe in the Mormon ways!" And kept going on and on... It was really awkward and we didn't know what to do, but the high counselor who was visiting saved us. That was a miracle. We then had a meeting with president Goleman. This man is inspired. I have so much respect for him. He is so deeply involved in the work and magnifies his calling. I know that he is in tune with the spirit and he does his very best to be on top of everything. He ended up giving us a referral and we are so excited about it! We finished the night trying some people and visiting with Cora! Sunday's are always an adventure. This branch is really incredible. I love it so much. I will definitely be back in Somerset at some point in my life!

Serving a mission is a once in eternity chance. Never again will I have the opportunity to serve here, in this capacity, as a single full time sister. This is my chance! This is it, only these 18 short months! I am so beyond grateful to have that opportunity and privilege. It has changed and shaped my life forever!
I know this gospel is true. I know that this is the only and only true church on the face of the earth. I know that Jesus Christ is my savior and redeemer! I love being in this work! :)

Much love from the GKLM,
Sister Hannah

This past weekend marked one year of being endowed! I cannot believe it has been one year! It has been the greatest and hardest year if my life, but I would take none of it back. I know the experiences I have gone through have shaped me to become the person I am today and have helped me become more like my Savior. I cannot wait to return to the temple again!

Zombies need the Gospel too!

Go go go week! It was crazy and fun!

We started on Monday with a super solid night. Three lessons in three hours! Great way to start off the week! My goal this week was to share conference with as many people as I could. It was such a wonderful experience to be able to tell people what the prophet told us! We also
got access to all of it on gospel library too! Blessings!

On Tuesday we had a run of the mill day, we tried biking, sister Schultz bike was crap so we ended up driving. Her bike is a hand me down and the seat had to be lowered with some tool we didn't have. Not worth it! We found her a new bike on Wednesday in Louisville!

So Wednesday we got up before the crack of dawn, 5 am, and were out the door by 6 to make it to Lexington with the Corbin sisters (Patterson and Nicholas) by 8. Sacrifices! We met up with 6 more sisters and the assistants to the president picked us up in a huge van and drove us all to Louisville! I'm sure we all looked like polygamists. Two men at the Mormon church picking up 10 women. HAHAHA, and a member pulled up right as we were about to leave. Elder Waite
commented "this doesn't look bad at all, two elders getting in a car with 10 sisters." We trekked to Louisville and met up with all of the sisters in the mission for the sisters conference! It was awesome. There is nothing like being with all of the best missionaries in the GKLM! We were trained by the assistants, sister jones and Jensen, president and sister Brough and a few other sets of sisters. Yep, that's right, I got to see my sistajones!! Oh what a glorious reunion! Sister Brough was so incredible to get the whole thing lined up as well. She is so talented and organized! We were uplifted spiritually and taught how to be better women of God! A lovely time spent in Louisville! We then had to travel back... Oh that felt like forever. BUT, we took a detour down the 75 through Richmond! Oh my heart broke. It was so weird to drive through the streets I walked and to see Richmond again! I drove past my old house and not going to lie, I shed a tear. I miss it! We stopped to eat dinner and then we're on our way! We got home at 8:30pm and were dead. Push through push through was our attitude. It was a long rewarding day!

Thursday was rewarding as well because we got to see so many wonderful children of God and teach them gospel principles! We saw Cora and helped her understand the plan of salvation better. We also saw Billy and read some of the Book of Mormon with him. Billy is progressing really well in the gospel! Billy never ceases to amaze me. He always tells us of how he only wants to get closer to God. Billy, I promise you, you are on the right track! Pray for these sweet children of God, Cora and Billy!

This week I was also kissed on the cheek by a drunk man while out trying some potentials. That happened. Ok. Never again. It was so awkward. Immediately when he opened the door I could smell the beer and before we could say goodbye he went in for a huge hug and then
kissed me... Yep. I couldn't have even dodged it because he was already hugging both sister Schultz and I and we had no where to go. Hahaha, the life of a missionary!

At district meeting we were trained on having the faith to find the children of God prepared for us specifically. It was a rad training by Elder Fleener. It really made me realize how I need more faith when I am going out to find new investigators! There are people ready to hear and accept the gospel for me while I am in Somerset!

Saturday we biked all day! It was so fun! It was reminiscent of the good 'ol Richmond days! Sister Schultz pulled the same rookie mistake I did. She biked on flat tires all day. We did at least 6 miles that day, if not more. She is my rock solid biking companion! Holy cow! We biked down the busiest highway and she did it all with the biggest smile on her face, even though I could clearly see she was dying inside. I seriously love her so much. This sister has so much faith and work ethic, it blows me away. She knows how important this message is and wants to share it with everyone! She is incredible! We pulled over to a gas station to pump her tires and realized why they were flat. There was no caps on her tubes. Miraculously, there were two caps on the ground right by the air machine. What? That just doesn't happen. Nothing short of a miracle brothers and sisters! God looks out for His missionaries! We filled the tires and then we're on our way home, up a giant hill, when tommy stopped us. This man was a stranger and he was carrying a hotdog. We stopped him to talk to him and he immediately said "what do you like on your hotdog? Come, sit down on the porch, let me get you a hotdog." Saturday was a day of blessings a miracles, let me tell you. This sweet man proceeded to pamper us. He fed us a hotdog and got us drinks and then listened to our message! What? This doesn't happen. Wow. We set up a return appointment. His wife, Lee, came out and was talking with us too. These were and are two of the nicest and most generous people I have ever met. They are
my miracles!

Zombie walk 2015/ Somerset is so rad. I love it here so so so much. I never want to leave! They have an annual zombie walk. It is huge. Everyone dresses up and goes to the town square. There is a fair and then at 9pm, all the zombies do the thriller dance and walk down the
street. Awesome! Baptist Billy turned into zombie bill that night. He looked legit! See the attached picture! It was so fun! People go all out here!

Sunday was glorious. The sabbath is truly a delight! church was inspiring! I love going to church and receiving direct revelation on questions and concerns that I have. I love how Heavenly Father answers my questions in direct and unique ways! We also had a cottage meeting (like an informal fireside) and Brother Working conducted it. IT WAS SO AWESOME! He put pictures of all the prophets up and then had a bag of quotes.. from "all of the prophets." We were to read the quote and guess which prophet said it.  It was so cool as we all put the quotes up on the different prophets.  At the end, he said "all of these quotes came from Thomas S. Monson.  You see, prophets speak the word of God, they all do, so each prophet will reiterate what has been said before him." Oh it was awesome. Inspired. The prophets are called of God and they are truly set apart for there high and holy calling!

I love this gospel so much! The more I work with these wonderful children of God, the more I realize how true this work is! there is nothing greater than bringing salvation to lost souls! I love missionary work and I love the gospel of Jesus Christ! I know it is true!

Much love,
sister Hannah

It's been 6 months?

Welcome sister Schultz!

This week has been wonderful!

On Tuesday sister Starkey and I had the privilege of going to Louisville to attend transfer meeting. Transfers are the best and worst part of a mission. It is like the end of the school year. Some of your friends graduate and leave and then school starts all over again. Some friends moved and there are the new freshman. The only catch is that there is no summer so it happens in a twenty four hour period. Woohoo! It is always bitter sweet. Sister Starkey was transferred to the Harmony Branch with her MTC companion and another missionary who is going home in six weeks. They are going to do amazing things there! At transfer meeting I received my new companion, sister Schultz! She is fresh off the plane from the MTC, but originally is from Michigan! She is the cutest thing ever! She speaks like a Canadian (cutest thing!) and is a convert! She was baptized a year and a half ago and is so on fire in the gospel! She attended BYUI before comingto Kentucky and we found out we were there the same semester and lived two blocks from each other but never knew each other! What? Crazy! She is so humble and teachable and is ready to hit the ground running! I am so excited to be her companion and ease her into the mission life!

Our first night back in town as we sat down to pray and plan for Wednesday's activities it was a super spiritual moment for me. As we knelt together the spirit was undeniable. It testified to me that I am supposed to be here is Somerset still and that there is work to do. It felt like home! It was something I won't forget! :) I love somerset so much! The power of prayer is real!

Sister Schultz first day in the field was crazy! We started at gods food pantry bagging snacks for them, we saw brother Alexander and then went and did some tracting. She was so excited to just be out and about and IN the work! I went over a few approaches and she chose to start with the most bold approach! Right off the bat! Yeah! That's my girl! We stopped at one house, the very first house and the woman, patty, invited us to come back. As we were leaving her boyfriend stopped us and he was one of the many baptist walking bibles around here. Lovely. Heavenly Father has a great sense of humor, throwing this guy at us on the first try! We sat there and were yelled at about how we were wrong, our religion is not endorsed by Jesus Christ and that the Book of Mormon is satans book. The guy continued to "preach" to us that we are sinners and God doesn't bless us at all because of our beliefs. Yes, he literally told me "God doesn't bless you and won't because you believe in the Book of Mormon." He then followed that statement up with "I just want to get you mad enough to bring your book back and put it to the test because I will prove to you that it is wrong."  Oh man. I felt so bad that this was sister Schultz first impression of Kentucky people! It was quite hilarious to me because as this man preached he contradicted himself multiple times and didn't even realize it. When I pointed that out to him he
completely disregarded my comment and went on preaching. We bore our testimony and said goodbye.

This man quoted Luke 24:44 and said that Jesus doesn't endorse the
Book of Mormon. It bothered me that I didn't know what to say back to
him and I had to settle his comment for myself. This is what I found
on the matter and it was absolutely amazing. The gospel is so
wonderful! The people of Jesus' day were Jews. When he is talking to
them in Luke, he [Jesus] says that everything in the scriptures must
be fulfilled. "The scriptures used by Jews in Jesus's day were
sometimes divided into three main categories. The Torah, also known as
"the Law," consisted of the five books of Moses (the first five books
of the Old Testament). The Prophets referred to a collection of books
by and about prophets and included the historical books from Joshua
through 2 Kings as well as the books of Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and
the 12 "minor prophets" (Hosea through Malachi). The Writings were a
collection that included literary works (Psalms, Proverbs, and Job),
"the five scrolls" (Song of Solomon, Ruth, Lamentations, Ecclesiastes,
and Esther), the book of Daniel, and the historical books of 1 and 2
Chronicles" (institute manual for the New Testament). So collectively,
the Old Testament. Then the thought came to me that the prophecy of
the Book of Mormon is found in the Old Testament in Ezekiel 37:15-17.
So indeed, Jesus Christ DOES endorse the Book of Mormon. Now if this
man had done his research, he would have realized that that scripture
in fact proves him 100% wrong. Knowledge is a beautiful thing to
obtain. It continues to amaze me how much false doctrine is being
taught in the world. It brings me so much peace to know that the Book
of Mormon is true and that the gospel has been restored on the earth
again today! I am so grateful to be on the front lines combatting the
false truths being taught!

Having a fresh new missionary who is so on fire is so fun! Everything is new and exciting! Weekly planning was new and exciting! We went on an adventure in the morning trying to find a referral but she was sick and our backup fell through so we came home and started planning. We were able to see Billy this night also and he tried to scare sister Schultz away! Haha! Nice try Billy! She's not scarred of anything after we had the walking Bible (as he called himself) preach at us. We had a good lesson on eternal marriage and Billy was so happy to know that he wasn't alone in his beliefs. Everything we taught him he already believed! He is on track to be baptized! It just makes me smile when Billy says things like "I feel like I've always been a Mormon, I believe everything you teach!" How can he not be a Mormon? He is stellar!

The first district meeting of a new transfer is always a tad awkward and fresh because it is another adjustment. We have a new district leader this transfer and his name is elder fleener. He is from Alaska and is a stellar elder! He trained us on teaching our investigators more towards baptism in each lesson instead of just at the end. The spirit was very powerful.

The miracle of the week: our engine light lit up on our dashboard mid day Wednesday and we thought, "ok, we will figure it out tomorrow." Whenever we were at stops, our car would shake almost violently forwards and backwards. It felt like we were on a roller coaster, not in a car. Sister Schultz and I stopped by the Chevy dealership Thursday afternoon right as they were closing up.. Just our luck. They were so kind to us though and squeezed us in the next day! They gave us the 8 am appointment. We came and dropped the car off and did our studies in the waiting room.. Haha it was interesting smelling coffee and listening to the news as I read. They came in 25 minutes before district meeting started and told us that our car was ready and that they had to order the part and come back next week, but the initial problem was fixed. It was a huge blessing to be done right in time to get to district meeting. On our way to the church we texted the car coordinator updating him on the situation and told him about the $200 repair. He then made us aware that we needed a written statement sent to him so he could get approval from salt lake. This proved to be the biggest miracle and made me realize how aware God truly is! As we drove to the church and then back to the dealership our car smelled like burnt rubber and oil. Not good.. Since we had to come back to get a report on the part to send to elder Bailey, we told the tech about the smell. He said that it was not normal and he took it back to look at it. So here we are again, waiting in the waiting room and they come in to tell us that our car is spitting oil everywhere, literally blowing it all over the ENTIRE engine! Yeah... And so what had happened was the initial problem led to the finding of a second problem. When they fixed the second problem, they discovered the big problem, that our engine is shooting oil everywhere! The tech told us our car could have caught on fire... And the problem could actually be that our engine is shot. Elder Bailey called us and said that our car, as is, was not drivable. If it were not for having to come back and get the written receipts, who knows what would have happened. The
techs were telling elder Bailey way more information than us... We just sat in the waiting room eating muffins and trying not to listen to the news blaring in the background. We waited and waited and the tech finally came in a said the repair was more minor than they thought and it was just a tear in a gasket. Prayers answered. Miracles happen and are real! This was truly a miracle! It turns out it was all a minor fix that went wrong in the morning and we didn't need the $200 part after all. The cap that was replaced was put on wrong which led to the tear which led to oil spilling everywhere... And after sitting in that dealership most of the day, we were so grateful to get out of there and get back to work!

General Conference!
I seriously cannot believe it has been SIX MONTHS! Where does the time go? It seriously feels like I was just in Richmond, finishing my training and watching conference with sister jones, yet here we are again! I absolutely LOVE conference! It is my favorite time of the year! There is nothing better than hearing the word of God directly from His servants! Some things I loved from conference:

-many apostles quoted whether it be from me or my servants, it is the
same! This is a true statement!
( 38 What I the Lord have spoken, I have spoken, and I excuse not
myself; and though the heavens and the earth pass away, my word shall
not pass away, but shall all be fulfilled, whether by mine own voice
or by the voice of my servants, it is the same. D&C 1:38 )
-hold tight to temple covenants! Be worthy of the temple at all times!
-see ourselves and each other as our Heavenly Father sees us!

-president uchtdorf: the truth is straightforward! Am I making my
discipleship too complicated? Exaltation is our goal, discipleship is
our journey!
-elder Richard j. Maynes: our joy is directly proportional to how
centered our lives are on Jesus Christ!
-elder Larry r. Lawrence: the Holy Ghost really does give customized
counsel! What is keeping me from progressing?
-elder Quentin l. Cook: self control is like a muscle, the more you
use it, the stronger it gets!
-elder Robert d. Hales: pretty much his entire talk. -tighten our grip
on the rod!
If I am here for the Lord, He WILL be there for me!
-elder Jeffrey r Holland: "maternal love has to be divine" always bear
my testimony to children. Mother fulfill purposes of eternity.
-elder Vern p. Standfill: PREPARE PROPERLY! There is no darkness that
cannot be overcome by light.
-Elder James b. Martino: keep up spiritual habits! Personal religious
habits, without them, I am vulnerable!
-elder Dallin h. Oaks/ the entire thing. Holy cow.
-president monson: BE THOU AN EXAMPLE! Radiate the light of Christ! Be
different to be like God! I have to be different than the world!
-elder Stevenson: focus on the cans!
-elder renlund: we all have divine nature and destiny
-elder Russell m. Nelson: KEEP MY COVENANTS. LIVE UP TO GOD'S
EXPECTATIONS! Nothing is more important to my eternal life than my
conversion.
-elder Schweitzer: true disciples don't look for excuses. True
disciples desire to inspire.
-elder eyring: make a constant quest for the spirit to be with me,act
on the promptings, today! DO IT. ETERNAL TRUTH DOESNT CHANGE.
-elder CHRISTOFFERSON. Throw down! I absolutely loved this talk! (He
is probably my favorite apostle) Conversion to Christ, not the church.
I cannot define my own truth, truth isn't mine to define. The ancient
purpose remains, bring people to Christ! God's ultimate purpose is our
progress, we progress through the gospel of Jesus Christ! This
religion is not "called to self" it is CALLED TO SERVE!
-Elder Durrant: PONDERIZE! It will get you from snorkeling to scuba diving.
-Elder keetch: God's standards are like barriers, they protect us from
great dangers. Follow the course He has charted for us.
-Sister Stevens: God never loses sight of our eternal potential.
Commandments and love go hand in hand.
-Elder Kim b.mclark: simple obedience. Have the eyes to see and ears to hear.
-Elder bednar: spiritually seasoned men lead the church. That is the
way the Lord has it. I loved this talk because because elder bednar
put into perspective how important the teachings of the living
prophets are today and how they still apply!

These truly are inspired men who devote their whole soul to serving God. They understand that it is no longer about them, but about the lord and his work. General conference is when we get to hear the word of the Lord for us in this day and in this age. I know the counsels given to us are true and applicable! I am so excited to get started on rereading and applying all of the principles into my life!

So much gospel love,
Sister Hannah
